What size TV is best for small living space

Remember when your mom told you not to sit too close to the TV?  She was probably concerned more about your eye health than living room design principles. TV technology has come a long way, and it seems there are complicated mathematical formulas for determining its placement and size. Some TV manufacturers suggest one and a half times the vertical height of the screen for regular viewing and three times the vertical height for hi-def TVs.

Either way, most people want to get the most out of their investment TV so, go big!  Or as big you can in a small space. A general rule is that your TV should not take up more than two thirds of the surface of your media console. The most important thing is to make sure the TV does not hang over the edges of the surface. Another pro tip: consider mounting your TV on a swivel and pivot wall mount so that it can be viewed from multiple angels.
