Comment on Open Shelf Above Brooke Shield’s Stove

What is not to love about the long shelf above the range in Brooke Shield’s kitchen? For that matter, what is not to love about Brooke Shields. For a woman who touts “Brooke don’t cook”, you sure can’t tell by her well-equipped kitchen. From a design perspective, the long linear shelf contrasts well with the square tile backsplash. The shelf, laden with a variety of oils, cooking wine and spices fits in well with the professional looking range and the stainless-steel vent hood. All these elements blend with the white countertop and black cabinetry to amplify the home chef vibe. The long shelf also is functional by making the most used ingredients easily accessible instead of having a crowded, sloppy countertop.
